Is USB 2.0 downward compatable? / what is good price?

I am looking at getting a ME-320 USB 2.0 External Drive enclsoure. Can i use this with older comps that only have usb 1? how does that work?

$50 bucks from svcompucycle a good price?

Yes, you can use it, but it'll operate at USB 1.1 speeds.....
