Is U30jc the replacement for UL80VT ?

This notebook here looks really nice as it features optimus which was the only thing I really missed on the UL80. Just wonder if I should expect good battery on this as on the UL80

The battery life is not as good as the UL line, but still mighy impressive

We tested the U30JC in both graphics modes with the wireless active, screen set to 70% brightness, and Windows set to the balanced power profile. In dedicated graphics mode, the system stayed on for eight hours and 15 minutes and set to integrated graphics mode the system stayed on for seven hours and 35 minutes (no those numbers aren't switched around).

That thing looks full of win.

I was extremely impressed with my UL30A - only disappointed in the 4500MHD, but it's the trade-off you have to accept for the excellent battery life. I do wish they had more aluminum on it and less plastic.

But that's why I bought an Envy 15 and I'm selling my UL30A. Down the road I'll either pick up a newer 11.6 or 12.1" CULV or a tablet to fit my ultraportable needs.

I think there's a new UL line coming out with actual core i-something ULV processors. They're supposed to be the successors to the ULxxvt line.
