This is my first thread on these forums, so take it easy on me guys, please.

Recently, in case you missed it, Donald Trump has announced in June that he will be making a decision on whether or not to run for President, which I and many find very interesting, though senators have said he doesn't stand a chance.

He is pushing enough Marketing, Videos, has his own website, and enough propaganda to make you think he is actually going to run. My question is, to you guys, is do you think he stands a chance?

Furthermore, is he trying to stir up a hornets nest? I mean some of his ideas seem radical & dangerous, like the 25% Tax on Chinese Goods, head hunting OPEC, and taking over Iraq as a permanent occupation.

You can find some of his videos on CNN...

Trump: US Leaders are not very smart

Trump: US Should control Iraq Oil

Trump: Tax China's Goods 25%

Would you vote for the guy?

He's a pot stirrer. That defines his style of management. He is also a egomaniac. Does ANYONE think that's a good combination except for himself of course.

I'd take him over Mr. Obama - he's actually has REAL accomplishments and credentials.

I'm sure someone will follow up with a Bush comment. Listen, Bush is gone, and whatever he was doesn't matter now.

What has Trump accomplished? Being born with a silver spoon in his mouth? Filing for bankruptcy 4 times?

Granted those are facts, he is a successful business man, having come back from bankruptcy is an accomplishment, not a failure.

If he didn't inherit a fortune and business from his father he'd be nothing.

Obama on the other hand started in the lower class, with a single mother, and became a millionaire through his own merits.

Obama was a millionaire before or after he became president?

The majority of Obama's wealth (about 9.2 million dollars) comes from the two books he has written .

But are you suggesting that Trump is not a successful business man? Retaining and expanding wealth is just as important as attaining said wealth in the first place. There is no denying Trumps business savvy even if he did get help from his father at an early age as Trump's father is not the person managing his personal finical affairs.

You are either the same paid shill for Trump that was in here in February or just another one.

Trumps strategy to just buy the Presidency via the Internets?

What exactly makes him a successful businessman? If a regular person files for bankrupcty, our credit is destroyed and we can't get so much as a credit card... But Trump is bad enough at business that he had to do it 4 times, and it's an accomplishment because "he's a businessman"?

Sounds like I need to become a businessman, since it's apparently impossible for them to be failures, unlike the rest of us.

You really are stupid.

How much did Mr. McCain spend on his campaign? How much did Mr. Obama spend? These two men spent the most and got 99.9% of the votes. Everyone who has been President in the last 25 years has bought it.

Hardly, I think some of his ideas may be dangerous & revolutionary even.

If he takes fight with congress he stands to fail miserably, with both sides against him, he won't get much accomplished, even if he did become presidency.

As far as him buying Presidency, I don't know about that, you still have to win the election, and we all saw how the Ross Perot thing went down.

No matter what happens, I'd vote for the guy just because I don't like any of the other candidates. I think the country needs a strong business man, especially one with the experience of getting out of the hole, where America is clearly at and sliding deeper into daily.

Like the old saying goes, the only way to get out of the hole is to stop digging!

Yet is Trump in the poor house? No he isn't and frankly I'd rather be in his finical position then yours.

That's the difference between the super wealthy like Donald Trump and us. They don't end up in the poor house no matter what.

It's not a credit to Donald Trump in any way.

First of all, you are right, if you file for bankruptcy your credit will be ruined...

However, despite that fact, in business, it's not what you know, but who you know.

Furthermore, when you have millions of dollars of a bank's money, what makes you think, even after filing for bankruptcy, they won't be calling you for dinner? Hey Trump, do you want to borrow some more money? :D Life is good!

If they want to get paid they better kiss and hard! :D

You don't stay "super wealthy" by throwing your money away. Fortunes can be lost within one or two generations of being created. So far Trumps is far from being in the dog house and your point seems to be crumbling because all you were doing was just attack his the roots of his fortune and his past mistakes to try to void out his current finical standing.

I don't know if he will be willing to open up his financials to the public though, the man has like quite a few businesses to be sure! I wonder if he is trying to set his financial house in order before he makes a decisions...

Yup, folks who owe millions never miss a meal, it's the chump who's short $20 at the end of the week.

I can see the attraction though for the Alex P. Keaton wannabe's who view Trump as a poster child for their dream of scamming the system for big bucks before retiring to their villa at age 50. Too bad it ain't gonna happen.

For the 'youts,' Alex P. Keaton was a tv character who was a 'young republican' who never met a business opportunity he couldn't exploit while scamming the system. I'm pretty sure he grew up to be the Donald.

Your praise seems to be based on the fact that he's rich... as if that somehow implies that he's a good businessman and would be a good leader.

It seems pretty clear that Trump is a huckster who's rich despite his failures as a businessman.

Sounds like a person who was using fame & fortune to attract money, he made mad business deals though, pocketing some serious cha ching, ran multiple businesses to the ground, like any other publicly traded company does, and is still shouting he is all that and a bag of chips... (Worthless casino chips that is.)

So he duped the public and is good at scamming people out of their money with business savvy, sounds like a politician, most definitely.

He is rich which could be good for the money part of the GOP base.

He has been married three times and is from the Northeast which is bad for the Southern Stategy and maybe the Religious Right parts of the base.

He is willing to say anything no matter how crazy which great for the base.
