Is "trance" music? Does it take talent?

yeah ,of course, if you want to make a bangin trance track, it has to be good, there are some great trance songs out there that really require talent, and of course a creative mind. As for DnB, i think junglists are more demanding, at least i am, to make a GREAT dnb track you must be heckuv good and consider alot of things, such as the sound, measure, and pattern of the beat,not that basic 4/4 stuff, what kind of bassline to utilize and when it should kick in, where the drops and variations are, what kinda theme to present, what vocals and what samples to insert and where, and the list goes on. so yea you need talent, if not it'll sound like crap.

Is it music? yeah no question asked.
