Is trading of WOW Accounts allowed on FS/FT?

As per Blizzard, it is legal to trade game accounts, no money would be exchanged in the process. Is it okay to post an offer on the FS/FT forums? Im having a hard time finding someone willing to trade accounts.

is still against the TOS... the account isnt yours, u bought the right to RENT it and therefore ur giving it to some one else is violating their TOS

It's not legal to trade accounts. The only thing you are allowed to do is sell someone the CDs themselves. Which also happen to be completely useless since you are not allowed to sell the Account, that is required to play the game.

So it would be illegal to say, trade account name and password with a friend and play his account and he play mine? Just an example. I dont see what is so illegal or wrong about this. Blizzard doesnt lose money, and Im not accepting a cash payment for the account.

Technically no one's paying for anything... it's a trade of accounts, which are identical basically

link to the TOS where it says you can do that and help the mods decide, why don't you?

It look < 30seconds for me to find it after I was done reading this thread.
Clicked on FS/FT -> clicked on Blizzard sticky -> click on Blizzard link -> CTRL + F w/ "trade" -> BINGO!

You may not offer any Account for sale or trade, and any such offer is a violation of this Agreement and may result in suspension or termination of the Account.

No mods needed. 😉

8. Selling of Items.

So Blizzard Entertainment does not recognize any property claims outside of World of Warcraft or the purported sale, gift or trade in the "real world" of anything related to World of Warcraft. Accordingly, you may not sell items for "real" money or exchange items outside of World of Warcraft.
