Is tomorrow a bank holiday?

Why is it a holiday? Today is the 4th, not tomorrow.

"Please note that most Federal employees work on a Monday through Friday schedule. For these employees, when a holiday falls on a nonworkday -- Saturday or Sunday -- the holiday usually is observed on Monday (if the holiday falls on Sunday) or Friday (if the holiday falls on Saturday)."

edit: assuming its the same way for most businesses/institutions

It's because the people that work M-F want that holiday off no matter what, but the people that work on weekends have to work the holiday and the day that everyone lese takes off because their jobs require them to.

Me <-- banker who does not have to work tomorrow 😀

If the Federal Reserve is closed, so are we.

I know that's how it is, but that's just stupid. It's not a national holiday, so they shouldn't get it off. I guess it's a good thing I'm not running the government. Well, good for everybody but me

Freakin' UPS is definitely closed. I've been waiting for a package and it arrived at my local depot Friday evening, now I won't get it until Tuesday. I hate when that happens.

federal holiday, should know the drill. no usps, no fedex, no ups, etc etc etc. complain about it all you want but federal workers will be enjoying the day off.

i made a USPS postage scheduled to ship on monday. when i went for carrier pickup, only tuesday was avaiable. should i cancel the postage and make a new one, or will it not matter?
