I remember Charlie Garner running for like almost 300 yards on the Niners one game. OMG IS HE THE REAL DEAL TOO???!!!
I'm not basing this on one game. I'm basing it on his career so far. He's always been good, but he kept putting the ball on t he ground. If he's finally over that hump, then I would say he's the real deal.

Barber's a proven back, minus the fumbling... As long as you remind him to protect the ball, he should be the go to guy over Ron Dayne on every situation except goal line sitchy's.

Problem is that Dayne can't get the ball into the end zone either.

Has he finally learned to hold on to the ball? Hasn't fumbled yet this season, rushed for 182 yards yesterday vs. Green Bay. Will Coughlin finally realize that Ron Dayne SUCKS?!

It's still waaay too early to tell... look at Quentin Griffon for example... people were muttering "Barry Sanders" after week 1... if Barber is still playing this well in week 8... then we'll talk.

So many flaws with that statement.

Early?? Early for what ?? Tiki have had many 1000 yd seasons. He also is one of the best rushing/recieving back in the league. His only problem have always been fumbling.
He has gotten 3 100 yd games already out of 4.

Trying to compare Griffin is dumb. What the hell has he done ?? One frickin game ??
And that guy is like 5'6 and 180 lbs. Barber is 5'10 and 210. He can easily be an every down back.

Barber is a great yardage guy. He's never going to win the rushing title but he puts up good rushing and receiving yards. His main knocks have always been: 1) fumbles to much 2) can't punch it into the end zone with power. I don't really see that changing much. He'll put up his 900-1100 yards rushing, another 400-500 receiving and 6-8 TDs total. Not bad numbers I'd say, but don't expect Tomlinson or Holmes style numbers.

does pittsburgh's RB situation bother anyone else? Duce Staley does the work, then bettis comes in, and runs in the 1 yard touchdown? It just seems unfair to me.

at one point yesterday Bettis had -3 Yards and a TD

then i think he had -1 yards and 2 TDs...

he finally got into the posotive before the end of the game though

Gotta love the Bus's numbers so far:

18 attempts, 22 yds, 1.2 yds/carry, and 5 Tds on the season.

LOL.

Both NY RBs have been nice surprises for their fantasy teams. Both NY backs meaning Barber and Martin (not Ron "Done").

"No Gain" Dayne will never amount to anything. Too bad, because he was a nice RB in college.

Too bad that is a PROBLEM, and not a small one.

well tiki isnt a top level running back, but i'd say he's a quality second level back. He can catch the ball and make things happen which for backs is a huge plus. yes he's had fumble problems but those are fixable and it looks like he may have a head start on that. Fantasy wise, he's been helping my team alot as a 2cd back promoted to 1st due to mcallister's injury. I think tiki could do much more in a more open offense.. look at what dunn has accomplished this year.

OK, naysayers, who would you take ahead of Tiki? Here are a few I would consider: Curtis Martin, Priest Holmes, LT. How's Marshall Faulk doing this season? He's another possibility. Edge is supoosed to be having a good year too, IIRC. That being said, I am big Tiki fan. My point is that there are very few RBs out there who could be considered better. Go Giants!

He would be even better if Dayne was worth a gawd damn thing and break up his duty a little.
