Heard an interesting idea. Tiger Woods is intentionally playing poorly to gain sympathy.
A marketing guru claims that Tigers previous aura of "perfection" needs to be torn down and Tiger needs to be seen as a fallible human being who deserves our sympathy.

Once the public perception of Tiger changes, he can start playing better and resume the real money making from endorsements.

Interesting idea. Makes a lot of sense, to me.

Tiger is playing poorly? You must not have watched him on the back 9 yesterday. I seriously doubt that any professional golfer would intentionally play poorly, especially for sympathy. The higher the finish the more they make, so someone would suggest that Tiger would give up a significant amount of money for sympathy. Utter hogwash. Of course through his own stupidity and involvement with all the bimbos he's already cost himself a fortune in endorsements. As far as his golf game he's getting back on track.

the moment he pulled all the "sex addiction nonsense" sounds like he doesn't want sympathy.

There's no such thing as sex addiction. There is such a thing as being a colossal asshole.

This theory was blown yesterday afternoon.

That's not all that was blown....oooohhh *rimshot*

No he made some mistakes even before this incident. Like hitting a tree 10 ft in front of him trying to get on the green a few months ago. I can't remember which course it was.

Competitive sports such as this require more concentration and hand eye coordination than it appears. Pros make it look easy, but it is far from easy to play at a high level consistently. All that went on and continues to go on in his personal life is messing with his concentration perhaps on a subconscious level, even if he doesn't realize it himself, tho I think he does.

Also he's out of practice a bit.

Tiger may be a jerk as a person, but he is a great golfer, and as one commentator said yesterday, he is enjoyable to watch, when he is pulling of shots like those puts on back 9 and second shot on the 18th.

As much as I dislike Tiger, I really hope Accenture tries to get him back and he rejects them. I had lots of friends become miserable a-holes after working in that company for so long.
