Yes, absolutely. I have three of these feeding my whole house audio system (I have ripped everything I own from CD to my file server, about 50 gigs). TurtleBeach has been amazing at improving the product since I first bought it, they've released 8 or so firmware upgrades in the last few months. They are constantly adding new features and adding better support for additional formats.

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (can you tell that I like these things?)

how much does it cost?
$275+ according to pricewatch. I'm sure this item fits the bill for some people but to me it doesn't make much sense especially since it sounds like a PC is required for it to work.
If I have a network to plug this thing into, odds are that I have a spare PC that I can just hook straight into my audio system. I could even add wireless keyboard/mouse and an IR/RF remote and and audio transmitter incase the PC isn't by the stereo.

I guess it does have a size and simplicity advantage to it though. ;)
