It's in Washington state. When they get 2" of snow it paralyzes the entire state. Power goes out for days at a time and people are left without heat. Schools are closed. There are runs on staples like bread and milk at grocery stores. Office buildings are shut down and entire blocks of city streets closed to thwart looting. They don't have the snow plows or the manpower to clear the roads. People don't even own snow shovels to clear walks. It's devastating.
Hey, I grew up in Spokane, WA and we would drive in much worse than pictured in the OP without much thought. Don't lump us all in with the wimps over the pass.

Having made that point, what you said is basically the truth for anything west of about North Bend.

Of course, this stuff also still happens in Spokane:

I have only had 1 sick day in the last 2 months... I definitely value my job

Pardon the brevity but i need to know kind of quick if this is worth reporting or likely to do more harm than good

I just dont like having my commitment questioned like this, feel it was an inappropriate way to respond

Went through this with one of my delicate snowflakes last winter. Let him get away with it one time and we had a private chat in my office about it. He asked to be placed under a different supervisor after that. I saw that he pulled it again yesterday. Wonder if his new supervisor will put up with it for very long. He was the only person in the organization that didn't show up for work yesterday. I am pretty easy to work for but I have no patience for a poor work ethic and that is what this is.

In the truck headed to work. Think I had about 100 miles to go to get to that project. I like days like this when none of the other trades show up, very relaxing.

OT, photobucket is crazy with adds and 'you've got a virus!!!' Popups these days. Sheesh.

If there are two things people need to get their shit together about, it's how to properly hold a recording device, and how to drive properly for the road conditions.

Haha that is pretty much a standard winter day here too. Though we don't get much snow these days. Still business as usual when we do though.
