Is this worth returning or will it do?

i sent off to www.rlsupplies.co.uk for 8gb of kingston hyperx RAM (DDR3 1333mhz cas 7 7-7-7-20) £89 per kit at time of order

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/..._ya_os_product

after a bit of a kerfuffle they say they don't have it in stock but will send me out the same spec but different manufacturer and today i recieved 8gb of G skill ripjaws RAM. Problem is i've never heard of gskill (this is my first build) and this memory is cas 8 (8-8-8-24) not cas 7

http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=224

so i have two questions,

1) has anyone got experience of gskill ram? is it decent or have i been fobbed off with cheap crap?

2) will a drop from cas 7 to cas 8 make much difference? i'm running a core i7 860 with win 7, 64 bit mostly for 3d rendering.

any help would be appreciated.

Gskill is good. You probably wouldn't notice a difference between CAS 7 and 8, and you're going from 1.7v to 1.5; but I'd complain anyway, especially given that Gskill has a 7-7-7-21 kit.

what are the benefits of a voltage drop? sorry if that's an obvious question but as i say this is my first build.
