my dad has an abit kt7 raid mobo, athlon 1ghz and an ibm 42 gb harddrive.and is using win xp at the moment. he also has a cdrw (master ide2) and dvd rom (slave ide2)the 1st hardrive is on its own as master on ide 1, nothing is using the raid connector at the moment because we had conflicts using it before.
he has just bought another 40 gb ibm harddrive and wants to install this in his computer with win 98 on it.
he doesnt mind not using the raid and thinks it will be best to have the original hardrive on raid 1, and new hardrive on raid connector 2
what does anyone recommend he should do, he doesnt want to reformat his hardrive with win xp on it
