Is this worth $699.99????

Pretty good deal with the except of the Vid card if you are serious about this system look around and find all similar parts see which is the better deal.

Hmm, thats a tough one. Overall not bad. Good CPU, good power supply, plenty of hard drive space. XP Pro. $5 shipping. On the bad side, the video card sucks, it doesn't have PCIe so that limits video card upgrades to previous gereration cards. 512mb of ram isn't enough, especaily if it's 2x256mb. No monitor. It's a Compaq. I'd say for the price though it's not bad, with a ram upgrade and a video card upgrade, it can make a pretty good gaming machine.

EDIT: Geez, I type to slow, there were no replies when I started typing lol.

I suppose i could get a new mobo and ditch this one at EBAY

My whole reason for this post is because i am building my first system, and i am doing my math and this seems like a good deal for me to get parts.

It's not bad....you might ditch the mobo/vid card/RAM on ebay and get those new. The rest should be fine...but dunno how much that would really save you.
