WTF is so special about angry birds? I dl'ed it to my android phone and realized that same "catapult the thing into the structure to get it to collapse" game has existed on Flash sites for years. It's just a re-skinned ripoff.

My post was sarcastic. My 15 year old nephew spent all of xmas day playing it on his new android, which was pretty annoying.

And I agree with you, the concept is not new, but the masses are not like us, having refined these types of games, having been linked to them through nerd forums for years. And being able to play it anywhere, on a phone, instead of sitting at a computer, lowers the bar for introduction to these games.

Shit, if the two on the date were at least talking to each other about their phones that's at least a plus compared to this family of four I saw the other day where each and every one of them was glued to their phone and not paying any attention whatsoever to one another.
