It's normal. You also have access to your IE favorites in Outlook. Not sure why anyone would want to though!

Well, considering the fact that I keep some sort of forum activity going while at work, doing this gives a more "stealth" look to it. I have people walk by my work area quite a bit, so I gotta be careful as to who is looking over my shoulder.

if you click on the little e icon, you can surf the web in a big window
