I'd say you'd definitly notice a big speed boost if that's what you mean by worth it :) Maybe get a 9500 pro.

If you will OC the Barton (though they more hit and miss though more often they seem to hit) to roughly 2.1ishGhz (or even more depending what you get) and get pc3200 ram instead then its a Hell Yes!

Why would you buy a CPU like that to OC it?? People don't think with their heads any more. It's entirely nonsensical to OC something which isn't limiting your system performance.

Let me give you some simple advice, do not buy a CPU betting on overclocking it. Buy a CPU based on what you think you need and if it runs stable, cool, and quiet at a higher clock speed, enjoy the bonus.

I have pc3200 RAM. It's ok but you don't need it. All marketing gimmick...

Your upgrade will give you more value if you get a better video card, and a slightly worse CPU. The difference between a 150 and a 250 gfx card is night and day. Not true with CPU's...

And finally, "is it worth it" is entirely dependent on how much money you have and what you need. Only you can answer that. We can't...Ask yourself, what do I want out of my computer? Can I afford an upgrade that will allow me to do what I want? If you need more and have the cash, then it's worth it. If either of those two pieces is missing, it's probably not...
