I've been having a lot of problems with objects in Windows not responding to mouse clicks. They're dead. Sometimes I can't even close them with Task Manager and I have to either ignore them or shut down, and in some instances Windows won't even shut down and I have to hit the reset button. It's been driving me up the wall. Is this type of problem common?
I installed a new mobo, CPU and OS last week:
MSI K8N Neo v2.0 H
AMD Venice core 2.2 GHz 3200+
XP Pro
My system is Beauty in my Sig except for the above changes. I have tried on two different occasions to edit my system rigs at My Anandtech and both times got an error. It said the administrator would be informed. Is that another glitch with my system or is something wrong with Anandtech? 😕
I'm running my mouse and keyboard on a KVM but mouse access doesn't change when I install a USB mouse directly into the PC.
I used to have similar problems (a window, dialog, etc. not responding to mouse clicks) but much less frequently when I was running on my previous mobo and OS (Windows 2000).
