I've got a $1000 gift certificate to CompUSA. I just noticed this Friday there is a moonlight madness sale tonight. They have a LG 42LC2D for 1699.99 after "savings"...that makes it $699.99 for me 🙂

I haven't seen many reviews for this unit, but the ones I have seen were saying the display holds it's own with a Plasma Display.

Just curious if anyone here has this model or another LG model. Or, if they have any input.

If comp USA has a better TV for the money, or if someone has a terrible review of this one, I'd like to know
 
Although it may not be available at Compusa, Westinghouse makes an excellent 42" LCD HDTV with 1080p capability, which makes it more future proof and able to be used as a PC monitor w/ 1920x1080 resolution. The set can be had for around the same price or less. My advice would be to take a $200 hit on the certificate by eBaying it or selling it in FS/T and buy the Westy.
