Is this true? I thought it was legal to whenever.

States can place limits on post viability abortion(ie: late term abortions) as per SCOTUS. 36 states have late term abortion bans. 13 of which define viability as 24 weeks. What is viability for a fetus has yet to be decided by a court. Technically, the late term abortion bans havent been ruled upon either but they will likely be upheld. Viability will probably be pegged to around 20 weeks.

As a side note. Prior to the rise of late term abortion bans, an overwhelming majority of abortions were done prior to the 12th week. Less than 2% occured after the 20th. Less than .1% occured after the 24th.

link? where did you copy that text from?
yes, it really depends on where you live
you think most places allow a baby that is ready to be born , like the next day, to be aborted for no reason?

There are no limits on abortions for mental and physical health reasons. A woman could have an abortion for reasons of depression at 39 weeks.

I've never really had a problem with that law. Hell, you're almost done by then. Go ahead and have the kid and put it up for adoption if you don't want it.

Most women get an abortion long before then anyway, but it's funny how we focus so intensely on largely irrelevant things.
