I heard on the Howard Stern Radio show that 2 of the hijackers were US citizens (probably naturalized -- not born here). Is this true? I know that some of these hijackers have lived in the US for many years and even have a family here.

I always had a picture in my mind that the typical terrorist would only have recently come here and not have any ties with the US.

It's disturbing to think they can live among us, shop at our stores, have their children play with our children, and then go out and kill us.

Highly probable. Afterall mcveigh was a citizen as well. There are probably citizens in the US now planning terrorist attacks :(

Not heard anything of the sort... and I would hesitate to use Howard Stern as a "source."

I would not rule it out. That doesn't change the face of this crime though. We allow(ed) into our borders every day people who did not care for the US, only the money they could exploit/suck out of her.

I also heard on TV news that at least two of them held doctorate degrees, many were in their thirties & lived normal middle class lives here.

The scary thing is that all of our models/profiling for airline hijackers or terrorists are worth squat to dealing with this kind of threat.

The only place I heard any were US citizens was on the Stern show, so I will wait until I get the info from a more legit source.

Really really possible.......terrorism will never stop if USA 'll continue give U.S. passports to enemies(arabs, cubans etc).
How could surprise the fact that hijackers were u.s citizens if we let enter and regolarize all that crapping people?
