My new Shuttle SB51G is running its 20th Sandra cycle under the following OC settings:
Intel P4B 2.4 @ 2.61 w/ 144 FSB, 512mb Corsair XMS PC3200 (rated at 2-3-3-6) @ 1.5-2-2-5. I'm idling at about 31 degrees, and maxing at 47-48 degrees. The average temp for the CPU in Sandra is about 44-45 degrees.
Everything seems stable, but as a newbie to overclocking I'm a bit worried about the longetivity of the cpu and the ram.
Voltage wise, I don't think I changed anything. My BIOS is pretty limited and only allows me to change the "clock speed" from the default 133 - no changes to the voltages are allowed. So the only thing added that I can see is the additional heat during a heavy load.
In your opinon, does anyone think this is too aggressive and may be shortening the lifespan of my hardware? At these temps, are there any ill effects of my overclocking settings?
