Is this thing any good?

Is what any good...I cannot get the link to work!!

Also if its what Im thinking..no you cannot over clock with it unless you attach a fan...

It must be the Thermaltake Silent Tower. In which case, don't bother if you're gonna overclock. If not, then it's worth a shot.

If it is the Thermaltake Sonic tower, then yeah, it's pretty good. Check: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=37&threadid=1684628

Edit: I've been using it for a couple of weeks now. As shown in the pics, I don't have a fan on it. I haven't had any problems with heat. As far as quiet, well, it's noiseless... Unless heatpipes make noise 😉 Only problem is that it's pretty big, so you won't have much room to plug cables and stuff (depending on the size of your case etc.) Installation was easy on my Neo2 Platinum. I don't mean to advertise for Thermaltake, but it's very good. So... How about that cookie?!? :cookie:

I totally agree it was never meant to be used by overclockers....even with a fan attached...OUCH!!

Can you imagine what that thing would weigh with an additional fan?

Also the stress factor on the mobo..lolol

My mistake... I read "Sonic" tower, when it is in fact the "Silent" tower :S In that case, forget the cookie... I don't know much about THAT heatsink

Well I replaced it with a XP-120 today... it was decent, but too big for me. Couldn't fit an 80mm fan on the side panel near the HSF or it hit it when I closed it. I personally didn't like how it had you install it either.

From what I've read, excellent choice... I wish the XP-120 would fit on my mobo so I could try it out 🙁 Oh well, guess I'm pretty happy with my "Sonic" tower
