Is this the windows 8 pricing?

while officially yes the price has only been announced for the upgrade but its safe to assume that the pricing would be close to what it was for winxp and win7
 
I believe its been announced, i don't have the site handy. that price is correct and regular OEM is $99. I believe the upgrade prices are only good through january, then i assume it rises, probably $70. There is also 5 different box designs and MS says they saved 40% in emissions with it.

There is also the download version, iso to usb or installer. I may go that route, the serial is tied to your MS account, you also get the compatability tools, checks your software and tells you if you need to deactivate Itunes..etc first. things like that, which apparently are only available for the web installer
