If you have the guts and tailgating-ticket avoiding ability to draft a larger vehicle, by all means do so. It will not only improve the mileage on your car, it will also improve the mileage of the car in front of you!! This is because of the reduced turbalance and drag on the lead vehicle. However, the car in the rear will obviously obtain more benefits.

If you don't want to tailgate (it is dangerous) you can also obtain some benefit by drafting in their blindspot towards the rear..called wake drafting. The benefit isn't as good as directely behind, but depending on the vehicles, it can still be significant. Plus you can actually see in front of you which can help you avoid sudden stops from the forward vehicle.

the amount this happens is soooo small, you would be much much better off going over by a couple cents and taking the pennies from the free penny tray.

Well here are the numbers for water, you can decide if it's worth getting up in the morning.

Temp (F)_____density (slug/cubic ft)
32___________1.94
40___________1.94
50___________1.94
60___________1.94
70___________1.93
80___________1.93
90___________1.93
100__________1.93
110__________1.92

BTW, gasoline has a lower density than water.
