Okay, so pictures wouldn't come out properly, so I'm hoping you can see it in this video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9kqU4K4e-E

After a wash with some meguiars car wash, i then use meguiars Ultimate Detailer to clean off some of the spots the washing missed. Then I used a clay bar to get the deep stuff out... then I waxed it with a coat of Mequiars NXT 2.0 wax. I wax the whole car and let it sit for about 20 minutes and then I use a microfiber cloth to wipe off all the excess wax. It starts leaving the marks you see in the video, and a few days later, you'll also see in the video, I can make more marks when wiping it with a microfiber cloth... is this the wax wiping off??? Am I doing something wrong?

I have to rub fairly hard to get it to streak like that. It's not like it's just "dust" coming off.

Ah, might be wax film. I thought Zaino left a protective surface on cars? Maybe you are rubbing that off? Or you might not be rubbing hard enough. :)

Haha... yeah, I'm just kind of stumped. Maybe I'm not leaving the wax to dry long enough on the car? I mean, it takes like 20 minutes to apply a thin coat, then I wait about 15-20 minutes for it to dry and proceed to wipe it off... should I be waiting longer? It just seems like wax shouldn't come off that easily.

It took me a while to figure out that the light bulb and attic access door on your garage's ceiling were not a windshield fluid squirter and air intake. I kept saying to myself, "hmm, that intake looks like it's made out of wood!"

Same lol. I was like, "Alright... shitty camera angle to start... now show me the damn car. Wtf am I looking at a mirror?" And then I see the hand wiping the car and I am like, "Oh... damn. That's shiny."

Is this by chance a Infiniti? If it is, you're marring your paint when you do that. It has self healing clearcoat on it. LOL!

OP I am not sure, head over to Meguiars forums, MOL and post in the Detailing 101 section, with your video I am sure they will know whats happening. It is odd what is happening.

i tend to wait ~1-2 hours before wiping it off, i don't plan it i just go do other things and forget and come back later.

i haven't had the issues you're having.
