Is this the "new" P5B-E ?

ASUS P5B-E

The ASUS P5B-E I am testing is one using the newer C2 revision of the i965. The most important improvement is that you now can change the DIMM voltage up to 2.4V instead of 2.1V with the C1 and that you can adjust the SB and NB voltage.

Is it possible to tell if a P5B-E is a v1.02G ? Most users who opt for a P5B-E would be OCers, I'm sure they would be pretty upset if they bought a P5B-E now and found it wasn't a v1.02G.
ASUS has many 965 mobos, and now there are different versions of mobos. Getting pretty confusing.

"Is it possible to tell if a P5B-E is a v1.02G "

i would like an answer for this also please.

the only info i get from using sisandra or aida 32 is revision 1.xx.

So i assume the only way to tell then is to look up the setting that can set the vdimm to 2.4?

is that what i am looking for in the manual?

also ...does q-fan work with the p180 fans? I assume not as they are manually set and i can't get those fan's to show up in the asus probe 2.

Or rather i get a fan warning when i try to monitor them ...and can't set the min. threshold below 800 rpm.

tia 🙂

Most users would like to know if it is v1.02G, before they buy it. Maybe some mention on the box.

Anyway, according to a review on Newegg dated 11/28/2006 : "Newegg hasn't gone through their stock of 01's yet."
