Now, this is in the P&N forum, so I expect people to occasionally let their emotions get the best of them, but a moderator? Especially in a forum that stipulates "PERSONAL FLAMES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED."

P&N moderators have been accused of having a left/liberal bias before and this isn't helping. Please remember when posting under the Anandtech Moderator "moniker" (as comuwiz1 pointed out) that you are a Moderator.

Or, was it moniker, you meant to say? We once had a liberal president, who had a fling, but I think her name was Monica, not Moniker.

And it's not that the thread deteriorating would be a great loss, afterall, it was about Rush Limbaugh.

Yes, you are correct. A bit of a typo there. No, it's not a great loss, but moderators are supposed to enforce the rules not break them.

Stuff like that just makes me wonder who they are chosing to moderate this forum and why that chosen person would get all ticked off and personally attack a forum member.
