I'm building a new computer and it will consists of the following
CPU:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819115003
Memory:
Crucial Ballistix 2GB DDR2 800
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146565
Graphics Card:
eVGA 8800GTX
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130072
PSU:
Corsair CMPSU 620W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817139002
Hard Drives:
1 160GB Seagate SATA Hard Drive
1 300GB Seagate IDE Hard Drive
Sound Card:
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
CD-Rom Drives:
1 Sony DVD RW
Miscellanies Items:
1 Fan Controller
4 80mm Fans
I've read a bunch of stuff on motherboards, and I'm leaning towards the ASUS P5N-E SLI 650i http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131142
I think this is the best motherboard for me because I know the 650i is a little more stable then the 680i, the reviews for it from toms and anandtech have said that it performs as good and even sometimes better then the 680i, comes with 2 PATA connections, so I can still use my 300GB IDE hard drive, it's made by ASUS and the price isn't bad either.
So what do you guys think? Is there something better out there for me and have you guys heard or experienced anything bad about this motherboard.
Also what is the difference between this board and the ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus. I've looked at the specs, but I don't understand why its so much more.
Thanks for the advice ahead of time.
