Hellz No. X800GTO2 or X800GTO for less than $200 = X850XTPE (after overclcok and pipe unlocking)
(My bad, those are only PCI-E)

But
For 330, I would upgrade to a PCI-E rig and get a 7800GT instead.

Yes, best card available for AGP. Others might argue the 6800U but its slower in pritty much every game except Doom3 and Quake 4

Holy crap...that's a good deal. I got my x850xt @ Shop.ati.com for 349.99...

anyways, I feel that an upgrade for a system as a whole is a good idea. But if you like the things the way it is, x850xtpe is a good choice

Lol did you actually pay attention to his build specs? he's using a 9800, which implies an AGP mobo. dornk

uhhh......do Noobs even bother reading? Or just interested in hearing themselves talk?

He said best AGP video card! Not PCI-Express like you're referring to.

That being said, the card OP linked is one of the best you can buy for AGP.

For 330, I would upgrade to a PCI-E rig and get a 7800GT instead.

So he should spend $330 on the video card, and then at least another couple hundred dollars on a new motherboard and cpu? I think the idea is to maximize his current system, hence his original question.

You guys really think a new mobo would out perform this decent OC mobo I am using?
I mean, without going SLI, what kind of speedup would I get from same vid card in my
current mobo vs new one?

Jeff, i wouldn't upgrade a 3.3GHz P4 setup yet. That should be plenty fast for any game out there right now. Just make sure you have at least 1GB of ram and look for a 6800GT AGP or Radeon X800 series card in AGP and you should be golden.

Of course if you have money to burn, a whole new setup would be nice too, but personally i'd stick with what you have for a while and just upgrade the video.

Thanks! Just updated the first post to say I have 1GB OCZ. I agree with you daveybrat. I haven't kept up with things recently, but when the first chips after northwood came out and the first pci-e mobo came out, they were a wash with my system.

When I upgrade next time, it looks like it will be an AMD, but I dont think I'd see any gain from another Intel based upgrade.

You've made the right choice by deciding to go the AMD route. AMD's much better for gaming. I've had Intel products for years until I went the AMD route and I'm glad I did. AMD for me forever!:)
