Overclocked my cpu to 23 multi giving it a 4.6Ghz speed with 1.4v.
Tried stressing the cpu with Prime95 amd version and CPUZ Stress test and the temps spike to 58c.Is this safe or is this way to high? I am using Hyper 212 evo.
I monitor temps with a program called Hwmonitor. temps show 58c 38c 59c so which is the real temp?

Operating off of memory here but I think AMD recommends 62 max and tjMax of 70 (that is when failures are almost assured and/or it might throttle itself).

Oh crap well I am only 2c away from that 60c max then?? Isn't that dangerous? Now I am worried I am going to kill my system :(

I think higher memory voltage subjects the more fragile memory controller to early death than the CPU portion of it. I've always ran my chips both AMD and Intel at the hairy edge of air cooling capability and have never had one up and die on me. As long as you are at a safe voltage level, your chip will be fine but it's your chip and conscience so try to find a happy medium in there like 4.4GHz at 1.35V or something because the loss in performance won't be noticeable but you'll sleep better :)
