It's not overclocked but I do have a Coolmaster 212 cooler on it. Is it normal to have one of my cores at such a different numbers from the rest?

I reseated my heatsink and used a lot less Article Silver, now my temps are within 6 degrees of each other. Last time I used the whole bottle and it got all over the place, real messy.

I thought I'd heard that the sensors were inaccurate at idle or that you shouldn't depend on them too much, although an average close to room-ambient is encouraging.

Under load conditions, the sensors were supposed to be accurate to within +/- 6C ( . . . or so . . . ) That means you could have a range of as much as 12C, when the real temperatures are actually within a narrower difference.
