I got a Kingston 256M from Dell.com. IT is made in US, and the chips come from Toshiba. The code is TC59SM808BFT-75. What does this code mean?
My friend got his Kingston 256M from egghead. the same kingston num but there is nothing on the chips. Which is better?
Thanks
Kingston always is pretty good memory (It does what it is supposed to do). I can read Crucial memory codes but I am not sure how to read Kingston. It is probably on their web site, however I think 75 means 7.5ns.
I think the Kingston is okay. I have a 128 mb stick of PC-133 Valueram with the Toshiba chips running in my MSI K7T Turbo with the Duron 850. It is rated for cas3 but running cas2 at 133 Mhz for the memory. Of course the fsb is at 100 for the Duron at default. The ram works fine paired with a stick of Crucial PC-133 cas2
