hi i have a gigabyte ma57 sli mobo
amd windsor amd 64 x2 5000+

these are the stats from CPUZ

core voltage 3.70 average
tech. 90nm
core speed 2613.4 mhz
mmultiplier x13.0
bus speed 201.0 mhz
ht link 1005.2 mhz

i know the specs for voltage are between 1.30 and 1,35v should i lower the voltage on the cpu? thanks

uhhhh.... WTF

Can you even push a core voltage that high? Dude if your voltage is that high, something is seriously wrong with your board, and your lucky you didnt fry your chip.

The only things i can think of that took a voltage that high on the mobo was BH5 DDR ram. But even that was kinda high for it even.

I have to believe that is a false report. I don't even think a CPU in phase cooling could handle that.

did you run prime95 or orthos to check the stability? that should be the first priority for determining the stability whenever overclocking a cpu.

oh sorry i misread the post. did not notice u werent oc'ing. try setting the voltage lower to 1.3 and test that setting with prime95. if its stable then its good to go. otherwise if it is not, thenn up the voltage slightly and retest with prime. i am confident it will be stable at 1.35v but lower volts is generally better due to lower temps altho in this case it may be negligble.
