I was curious as to if anyone could tell me or explain to me why this is correct/incorrect and if there were any proof from a established educational website about this.

2xtreme thanks for the link but I am looking for the present participle- Reason as the context in which it is used is as the gerund-
I know it sounds right, but I want to be sure. Hmm.... Im searchin all over the web for it, this is nuts!

I've never heard it in the verb form. If it were me I'd convert it to noun form, but usage and local custom may vary.
