Politics and News
A forum for more serious discussions of politics and current events. Passions are always high on all sides of these subjects so keep your posts on topic. PERSONAL FLAMES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

What " should " happen to a member or members who post " Personal Flames " in P&N ?

What " does happen " to a member or members who use " Personal Flames " in P&N ?

What is considered a " Personal Flame " in P&N ? Name calling ? Personal " put downs " ?

My view is it happens far to often with no action taken at all. Yes, discussions get heated there, that is the nature of that forum and I understand this. But why have the " Personal Flames " ( capitalized in the headline of P&N ) rule if it is allowed to go on and on ?

I have not been a target of a " Personal Flame " there that I know of as I rarely post. But I do read there most days and am appalled at the consistent personal flaming that goes on in there on a daily basis and have yet to see those threads locked.

P&N could be a much better forum to exchange ideas and discuss personal views of news and politics but it needs enforcement of at least the rule of " PERSONAL FLAMES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED "

Maybe a sticky that outlines what a Personal Flame is or is not.

No. It looks fine in the profile. Not sure why the large gap between the sig and " Mark this message as the answer ". Forum issue ? :)

Personal Flaming is subjective.

The Mods may look at who is doing the attacking and who is being attacked.

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

P&N should not be considered the kitchen

That is what happens to those who test the waters with their toes (from ATOT)
