Is this right?

There is 5 servings of 1.5 cups per bag of popped microwave popcorn making that 7.5 cups per bag.

15 cups of pop corn is .93 gallons

3 in a box so thats 22.5 cups per $2 box or a gallon and a half

So then almost 4 1/2 boxes would make the 6 1/2 gallons of popcorn at $2 a box thats $9

My thoughts of a 6 1/2 gallon bag of pop corn for $20 s not a buy then at all is it?

Or did I mess this whole thing up somewhere in my math and if so please help me 😀

Were talking carmel corn BTW not just regualr popcorn 😉

Btw, I love food gifts, my MIL usually sends some every year and my hubby usually gets me some sort of chocolate 😛

that was a very thoughtful gift idea i thought.

Yes but you pay extra for not having to pop the popcorn. Ya see. Plus, doesn't it come in a nifty holiday novelty tin?

Well other asshats here thought it was more thoughtful of them to start making fun of my wife and got the thread locked. I had to re word it in hopes to get my answer I am looking for. I H8 the stuff. I like non messed with butter and salted popcorn. Anything else on popcorn is just not right.

Like fruit on Pizza, thats is just an insult.

WTF PART OF MY ANSWER DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?

Your answer was wrong though:

For $20 your wife could buy 30 bags which yields 50 servings or 15 cups.

15 cups is about 0.93 gallons.

For the same amount of money, $20, you could buy 6.5 gallons which is about 7 times as much.

Your saying that for $20 I would get 15 cups of the microwave popcorn. But there is supposedly 5 servings of 1.5 cups each per bag. Thats 7.5 cups per bag and 23.5 cups per $2 box (3 bags in a box). Unless I am missing soming and my math is off thats around 1 1/2 gallons of popcorn for $2 then what you said of 15 cups of popcorn for $20.

Again I stated I am not that great with math in the begining so if I am wrong I will admit it but please tell me where my problem lies so I can under stand it better if I figured it out wrong.

I agree with you!!! Leave the popcorn and pizza alone!

How are your gorgeous children, btw?

Eh, we werren't really poking that much fun at your wife, although I guess I could see how you took it personal.
Usually when people talk about buying 6.5 gallons of food, jokes will come out.
