So...my brother is 16 years old and juat bought a car in the summer. He is now sick of it and wants another car. The thing of it is, the car he wants is in PA. We are in MI. So, my mom, being the wonderful parent she is, decided to go and get the car in PA. Eventhough it is his acr, she and I are driving down there at this crazy hour to get this thing. I this right of her to do? would you do it for your kids or is she going to far and spoiling him?

That's what's wrong with parents today, kids overrun them. I swear parents nowadays are a bunch of pansies. Bunch of spoiled kids, that's what we have to look foward to.

Why is your mom driving out? I can see if your brother took you mom along with him so she could drive one of the cars back. But your mom going to get the car herself, why?

Your mom, by doing something like this for your brother, is not preparing him for the realities of how life will be once he leaves the nest and is expected to actually DO USEFUL THINGS in order to get rewards.

Typical example of parents growing up with their kids. Parents not having the maturity to be supervisors of their kids instead try to be their "buddy". ;)

I wanted to buy a car in santa rosa (150 miles away) and I didn't even ASK my parents to go get it with me.... I got a friend to drive me.

Am I the only one under 24 who takes pride in independence from his parents?
