<< RichieZZZZ,
That's one of the most ignorant statements I have heard in a while? Because their heatsink can handle high heat output and still work effectively with a quiet fan makes it a bad design? WHy do they need a new design when they still have one of the very best coolers on the market?
And add in the option that if a user doesn't mind hte increased noise, he/she can add a different fan to the alpha and improve its performance. Its performance with a 20CFM fan is pretty damn good. >>
You read my responce the wrong way, I'm not saying its a bad heatsink. In fact I have a Pal35, I'm just saying they need to release some new stuff. I'm sure for most ppl the alpha works fine but there are better solutions. Looking at the new heatsinks, for example overclockers.com has tested that new millenium heatsink, they report a C/W of .13 to .18.
