Is this Renault's latest attempt at marketing the new Clio?

Nice, isn't it?

I wonder what are Renault's plans for the North American market. My guess is that they will become a failure within a few years, if they do decide to go back. I mean wtf, my friend's brand new Clio broke down after 2 years of service; When he had it taken for a repair, they told him it's completely normal.

 my Toyota!

Renault's plan in the US doens't exist. Their influence will only be felt through Nissan, especially in it's design language.

DO NOT BUY RENAULT.

I have many long, boring stories about the Scenic that I had as a company car. Suffice to say that it spent six months of it's year-long life in the garage, not having anything done to it because "if the onboard computer doesn't report a fault then there's nothing we can do". O RLY? So what about the clouds of smoke and huge loss of power at a neutral throttle setting after a few hours on the road?
Seriously, they eventually changed the car because it was so bad. Out of four Scenics the company leased, three of them had serious mechanical or electrical problems, necessitating towtrucks each time.

If they ever decide to branch out into NA, do not buy their cars. They're lovely to drive, comfortable, well-equipped... they're just as reliable as a monkey who's been given the keys to the banana plantation.
