I have a PNY module of 512mb PC133 ECC memory.
there is a white sticker on the module saying the following:

'512MB, SDR ECC DIMM, H
----bar code -----
64WHS 0203P24326

and the chips are infineon chips - HYB39S256800CT - 7.5

now, is this ECC memory Registered or Unbuffered ????
how do i find out?

Registered memory typically has extra chips on the memory stick. These chips are not like the normal memory chips. Also, ECC memory will always have an odd number of memory chips per side.

Does the packing say "Server Memory"?

From PNY website:

Server Memory

PNY manufactures memory upgrades for Apple, Compaq, DELL, Gateway, HP, IBM and over 5000 different types of servers.

Registered PC-100/133 SDRAM DIMMs

These 168-pin registered dual-in-line memory modules are industry standard 8 byte upgrades. Registered PC-100/133 synchronous modules are often installed in high-end servers to provide a large total memory capacity and high reliability.
