Is this recall going too far?

I just heard something while watching TV, that a number of blinds (curtains) are going to be recalled, because they have pull strings that may form a loop and choke babies. I realize that the safety of children is important, but does this one seem kind of odd/too far to anyone else?

No, this is highly likely. Knowing kids and their wild curiosities, they'll tug, handle, and wrap anything around them. It's better to be safe than sorry.
