Is This RAM OK For An A64?

I'm going to be upgrading soon probably to an A64 3200+ or 3400+ and a new motherboard (leaning towards MSI K8N Neo Platinum) and a new vid card (6800 gt - if I can get one for under $400). My question is about my old ram which I really want to keep so I can keep costs down somewhat (it is 1024 MB Kingston pc2700). I will NOT be overclocking at all. Will this ram be fine with that setup? I also plan on using all of the other parts in my current rig, which is in my sig. I am also open to recommendations on the mobo/processor if you feel like it 😀. This system will be used for about half gaming/ half web surfing. Thanks 😎

i would say go ahead and use it but when u get the money, move up to pc3200, since that is going to bottleneck your system. if u mess with the timings and voltage u may even be able to push that memory to pc3200 depending on the chips it uses. everything else looks good and make sure you check out monarch's website since they just cut prices on all the a64 cpus. u can pick up a 3200 for right around 200 which is about what i paid for my 3000 just a couple weeks ago.
