is this powersupply goood?

I just wondering if this Alien Powersupply is comparable to an Antec Truepower II 550W ATX12V 2.01 Antec TPII-550 TRUEPOWER 2.01

If not how much worse is it?

well from my point of view ....
I know aspire uses alien logos on there stuff!
I also took a good look at this power supply.
What caught my eye was the 12v rail being 35amps!!
Thats pretty impressive!!

yet until I see some reviews I will hold my opinion!
But yeah 35amps on the 12v...thats shall we say in the words od my enemy Darth vader-- Impressive my young Jedi!!

It would be interesting to find out who actually makes the thing - but it weighs 5 pounds according to the spec sheet, so it is in the weight category for a decent PSU of that rating. It also would be interesting to see some REAL specs listed on the spec page like: efficiency at LOW MID and HIGH output levels - ripple ratings for each rail, etc.
. As mentioned above, I'm always suspicious of items with a lot of bling - they are usually all show, no go... IAC, it is unlikely to be in the same quality bracket as the Antec.

Also I was doing some research and a good friend told me that....
there is a difference in these 12v 35 amp rails than say a Zippy or a PCP&C or even an Antec rail...
Let me see if I have his explanation handy...
Those 35 amps are lower case amps made in northern China. Kind of like the tiny Mongolian horses. My Zippy and your PC P&C have high case AMPS, kind of like Clydesdale horses that pull the Budwieser Beer wagon. They are both considered horses only the latter is MUCH stronger
