This will be the first PW type vehicle I have purchased, so I am buying used the first time around. I dont know much about them except the quick glance over at Toys R Us and what not. Anyway, this one is $60 bucks and I have been told it comes with two working batteries.

Is it worth it?

No idea, but when I was little, I was GREEN with envy of the kids with powerwheels. It will be the only toy my kids will have that I didn't.......

You're probably going to have to carry an assload of batteries for that thing to get you to work.

My parents couldn't afford one, I had a Big Wheel with a flat spot on the front tire. :( On second thought they didn't even have those when I was a kid :)

Pow-pow-pow-power wheels. Man, those were/are expensive. Never owned one as a kid. BMX bike FTW!

I had the Knight Rider (KITT) as a kid. Pedal power but voice (worked off a record actually, this was pre digital audio) and red cylon scanner.

me and my best friend had matching bigfoot power wheels when i was little. man that was fun. batteries could have lasted longer though. having to wait for recharging was no fun. we had one of the first kinds made i think ~1985?

They use standard 550 sized drill motors, one per rear wheel.

I rewired it to use 7.2 volt 55 turn lathe motors which have a lot more torque and overvolted them to 24 volts with a switch to 12 volts.

My brother who used to getting his ass beaten by the other kid on the block with a Jeep went down the street to race, set the switch to 24 and made the other kid cry. I lolled on the ground laughing.

Then we lit up the tires in that thing.
