i have a 40GB seagate 5400 rpm and an old 6,4GB samsung plus a LG 16X dvd-rom and a Creative 12x burner ...

this creative sometimes seem to fail burning cd's, and hardly is able to read one single CD, i suspected the burner was broken but now i thought about the power suplly ...

300W, and i have a Athlon Tbird 800@900 1.82v ...

this suplly is enough ???

What brand/model of powersupply is it? Some 300 watters supply the required/recommended voltage on the 5V and 3.3V lines that an 1800+ needs, many do not. The side of the powersupply should list that info.

12V is all that drives use.
