First let me say thank-you in advance for the wisdom you guys provide it is much appreciated!

So I have the Antec NEO HE 550watt psu (got it for free from a friend).

Here is my system:

AMD 64X2 Dual Core 4400+ Toledo CPU
Biostar 6100-939 MB
EVGA Geforce 8800 GTS 640mb VRAM
Creative Sound Blaster Fatality Pro Sound Card
2 Gigs PNY PC3200 400MHZ Ram 2x1gig sticks
1 DVD burner
1 Western Digital 160gig SATA 300mb/s 8mb cache HDD
Antec 900 Case with all its myriad of fans.

I thought this power supply was enough but now I question this.

Also I cannot seem to find the normal temperatures that the AMD chip and the 8800 GTS should be running at. You know like idle temps to load temps.

Thanks in advance!

Are you going to be running Windows Vista on this machine? I'm pretty sure that PSU can handle one more HDD.

Thanks.

i use 2 SATA and 1 IDE HDD with 2 DVD burner with the same PSU u got similar system configuration, the only difference is i use a 1950XT.

the 8800GTS prolly consume more power but IMHO your PSU should be able to handle it

YES! It's more than enough. Even with two additional hdd's and 4 more stick of rams (I dunno where you will stick 'em) but yes 550W is more than enough. Even a high quality 450W is enough for your system.
