Is this possible?

I've never done it before so don't blame me if i'm a newbie, but is it possible to convert crappy movies (the ones that look all pixelated, and low ass resolution) into a higher res almost divx (if not divx) quality?

ie.

converting a 640x480 to 1024x768 (if u put it in terms of desktop wallpaper sizes)

i'm talking about movies though.

The answer is........NO. You cannot take something that looks bad and make it better......the data to do so is already missing.

ok... i dont need a 'line doubler'... i need something, for example:

i have a p0rn0 movie 😉 that is only like 480x300 in resolution, it's in .avi format.

i want to make it BIGGER, but better quality. something like 720 x xxx or whatever...

can i do that?

Well the 480x300 has to be really high quality, and at best, you won't notice the difference

lol. making it bigger will only can only lower the quality.

yeah, thats why i asked in the first place, to see if it was possible.. i'm a newbie, as if i stated above. BUT NOT a NEWBIE TO BEATING MY MEAT.

Second that.

I think the same idea from MP3 conversion can be applied here. Can you convert a crappy radio-quality 96 birate mp3 to a near-cd quality 192 birate that is actually near cd quality? Probably not. Therefore can you convert a crappy video to a good video? Probably not. If you just want to see some parts more closely, use the windows' magnifier program 😀
