i have 2 pc's, and i have a wireless router downstairs, problem is i only have 1 wireless pci card, so can i hook this wireless pc card in one of the pc's and attach a cat5 cable to both computers and both pc's will run online?

Run one system wireless, and run CAT5 from the router to the other computer. I'm assuming the wireless router has wired connections as well. You could also set the system with the wireless card to run internet connection sharing, and run a crossover cable to the other computer..but that's more complicated than it really needs to be.

Why not use the wireless card in one PC,and Cat 5 cable to the router from the other one? I have 3 PC's wireless and 2 hardwired (Cat 5) through the router with the DSL cable going to the router.......

Lemme guess. You are gonna steal Wi-Fi access then use that to feed 2 PC's. Yes, it will work and work fine. Just use ICS to feed the 2nd PC and you are good to go.

Wireless card in the PC that is away from the router.

Direct Cat5 cable from the router into the other PC.

Cat5 from router to the modem.
