Is this possible?

Let's say that I have a computer connected to a wired router which has a internet connection. On that computer, I turn on the internet connection sharing. I then connect a 2nd nic on that computer to a wireless router with a wire. From that wireless router, a 2nd pc with wireless nic is connected.

The first nic on first computer will have file and printer sharing option disabled so it can't share the files through the wired router, but only the internet.
The second nic on first computer will have file and printer sharing option enabled.

My question is, will the wireless computer have access to both internet and files on first computer?
And how would you configure the wireless router?

It might work or might Not, and if it works it would be ?Quirky?.

The second Wireless Router as to be connected and configured as a Switch with an Access Point.

I do not know what the real story is, but might be that feeding the second Wireless Router with a unit like a Linsys WET11 through the WAN port, and configuring a Normal Wireless Network would be a much better solution.

Well, I guess the real story is, since the file is not shared through the main router, by setting up the main computer to act as a gateway to internet, wouldn't this be more secure?

In regards to WET11, since I only have one wireless computer, could I just connect the wireless computer directly to WET11 (and ditch the wireless router) if I do go to that route?

Oh, and thanks for the links.

In order to insolate one set of computers from the other they need to be on separate Networks. You need a Routing agent to create two Networks. So either you try your ICS idea and hope for the best, or you spend $20 on a second Router.

You can connect the second Router to the first Network with Wire, but if you need to feed the second Router Wirelessly you need a WET11.

Is your wireless router a cable/dsl firewall router? If it is then you don't need a second router. Using your wireless router, you can isolate your network and your file shares from the internet.

The router does have a firewall, but I really don't want to turn on the file sharing on the nic that's connected to that router.

Just to give an update, I've been using the setup that I mentioned in my first post for few days now, and it seems to be working without any problem. And I really don't think there will be a problem with the configuration since the wireless router is only acting as an access point. Right?

With that said, how safe really is this setup? Since the first nic has the file sharing turned off, that means the files are only transferred through the network that's connected to the wireless network. And the internet can be shared to that network also.

Any comments?
