I was trying to figure out if this is duable deal.
Went to pricewatch and found Western Digital 120gh drive for $169 at http://www.pc-xperts1.com/pcx/product/product.asp?ProductID=769
I can not find anyplace that says this is an OEM and there is a 3 yr warrenty on the drive.
Went to http://www.rebateshq.com/weblogic/rebateshq/parago/searchPromotionsByManufacturer and found $100 dollars manufacturers rebate. If this is possible this would make the drive $69.00.

I would like to know what I missed because this doesn't seem possible

NO
A) The rebate expired yesterday.

B) Just because the pricewatch listing does not say OEM, does not mean its RETAIL. Most likely this isn't retail(call them up to be sure), Retail goes from 270-300(pricegrabber/pricewatch).

Good try though

I don't see anything on the rebate that make me think they won't take it. However, you do have to send in the rebate within 14 days of purchase. If the site doesn't get it to you by then you won't have a upc code to send. Also, I don't know anything about this site, anyone? couldn't find them at resellers ratings. Still this is an incredible deal, might have to take a chance with a low interest, low limit cc.
thanks Maryocon

edit, yikes, i didn't notice the rebate was expired, phew!! thanks all

buy it retail at local store and PM with Amex. I called Amex couple days ago about Amex Blue and they said PM is discontinue with gold and others still working. If you think Blue won't work, then use Platinum. But too bad, MIR expired yesterday. :(

From PARAGO,
SEND THE ORIGINAL "PROOF OF PURCHASE" FROM YOUR PRODUCT BOX. SEND A COPY OF YOUR SALES RECEIPT.

So, no, you still wouldn't be able to do this if it wasn't expired.

I was reading the details at the RebatesHQ says that it needs to be postmarked by 5/18. Does anyone know if this rebate works for the one that Dell was selling for $169? Thanks!

If you guys would take a minute to actually read the rebate form you would see that it clearly states SKU# 2014855 which is the OfficeMAX SKU number for this 120GB WD drive. This expired rebate was valid only for purchases at OfficeMax. ALL Western Digital rebate programs are retailer specific.
